I have found a clever way to combine my love of haiku and HGTV. What fun !
I handwrite my own haiku on paint chip cards that I collect from home improvement stores. 🎨
I then introduce myself to women that I meet in my day-to-day life. I ask them what their "favorite color" is. And I give them a paint chip that matches "their" color and say "Here's a haiku to brighten your day!" 👩
So what was the top "favorite color" chosen?
🏆Blue = 27
Green = 22
Pink = 20
Purple = 15
Red = 14
Yellow = 7
Orange = 5
White = 1
Neutral = 1
TOTAL= 112
My heart is so full of thanks to all of the ladies who gladly accepted my haiku cards and requested more for their daughter or mother ... You made my day.
For telling me you would display my haiku cards on your living room wall, desk, dashboard and at work ... I am humbled.
For giving me the gift of pleasant conversation, "haiku hugs," and chocolate ... Let it be known I have a weakness for chocolate covered almonds. 😉

A little nudge from God
in a certain direction
making a connection.
In a bustling city
smiling at a stranger
kind words exchanged.
A beautiful delay
in our day
changing our way.
A blessing new
a divine gift true
