I just found out that I have to start paying to park at my favorite beach at Ambleside Park in West Vancouver.   And that isn’t the problem. “Digital-only” payment is the problem. And because of this --- 👫my wife and I  👫 ---  have decided to explore other beaches with freer access for all. West Vancouver politicians - and bureaucrats - contracted its parking enforcement to Impark ---- a private company.   And that private company only accepts payment by phone app OR a machine that only accepts “tap to pay” debit or credit cards. Do you see the problem yet? If you are like the vast majority of people who are constantly looking at their so-called “smart phones,” then you probably don’t.
