No forms - Just BOOKS ... beautiful books.
Have YOU ever seen those covered "Little Library" boxes on the street in front of houses?
We found this little library - and another one - on 21st Street - just north of Donovan Ave, here in Bellingham.
The idea is simple. You have books you want to either give - or loan - to others. Put them in front of your house, in a covered little "house of books."
NO cards needed. NO "official" library "account" of what you have taken - or borrowed. NO unnecessary rules or red tape.
All that is needed, is a "thoughtful" soul who has EXTRA books which they've already read and now want to share PLUS a "weather proof" case to "house" their collection of books. Then "curious" people - who are passing by - STOP to take a look. Maybe they find something which they want to read. Maybe they are back - to give back - a book they took - a while back.
We thought this would be the perfect place to leave a couple of "bookmark" poems (see photo below)
Ironically, this "little library" - at the time we wrote this - did not appear in the "on-line" map of "Little Free Libraries" 👉 https://app.littlefreelibrary.org/ourmap
