What's the point?

Nickelback - a successful Alberta-born rock music group - once asked, 

"What are YOU waiting for?"

And isn't that what stops many of us from "breaking the ice" with other people.  People who may - or may not - have an impact on our future.

We can all agree that - 

unless we "put ourselves out there" - how can we expect something different - or even better - in our lives.  

Why is "breaking the ice" only limited to "when we need something from the world?"  

--- When we need to sell something ---  or when we need a job.  

And that's why we should always try to "break the ice" with other people,  Because "meaningful connections" always seem to happen when we least expect it.  When we are not really wanting or asking for anyone's help.  When we are just "acknowledging" someone else in line - beside us - at the grocery store.

So ... What are YOU waiting for? 

Are YOU waiting til the time is right?

Can YOU even "define" the "right time?"

Get out there and say hi to your neighbour in line.  They are standing there - waiting - a few feet away.
