All this talk about "saving money," reminds me of when the late and great Ralph Klein said,  "There is a simple philosophy, you can't spend more than you earn.  So we exerted tough love, we didn't have an earning problem, we had a spending problem."  >>> For more about Ralph >>> https://jaybortnik.blogspot.com/2023/03/i-miss-ralph-klein-quotes.html

You see Ralph was quite likely the only politician in all of Canada - and quite likely the entire world - in the last 50 years - to "pay-off" a public debt.  And he did it with the unwavering support of Albertans between 1992 and 2006.

But, in an ironic twist, Albertans, again have a MASSIVE "public debt." And even MORE ironically, THRIFTY - but generous - hardworking Albertans - since 1961 -have allowed over $611 billion of their Canadian Federal Tax dollars to be spent SOMEWHERE else - in the name of Canadian unity?  >>> For MORE  please READ then WATCH  >>> Dear Alberta - The Canadian Government Spends YOUR Federal Income Tax $$$ Somewhere Else - Equalization Easily Explained  >>> https://jaybortnik.blogspot.com/2023/02/dear-alberta-canadian-government-spends.html

So ... Jay, why did you get so political all of a sudden?

Because everything is "political" UNLESS you - yourself - are "not free" to look out for what's in your own best interests.

"The act of eating is very political. You buy from the right people, you support the right network of farmers and suppliers who care about the land and what they put in the food."                                        ---- Alice Waters  >>>  https://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/alice_waters_624624

"The biggest thing you can do is understand that every time you're going to the grocery store, you're voting with your dollars. Support your farmers' market. Support local food. Really learn to cook."        ---  Alice Waters  >>>  Read more at https://www.brainyquote.com/authors/alice-waters-quotes
