I Don't buy Canada Flag Merchandise
The other day, I needed a new shirt to replace an old and ripped, Hawaiian shirt.
So my wife / fashion consultant and I popped down to a busy local Calgary, Alberta, Canada thrift store.
And here's what we saw >>> A shirt "shouting" CANADA, but whispering "made in China" on the inside tag. (see the 1st photo below).
What is the "Canadian Standard?"
This seems to be answered by 2 words >>> Quality & Integrity.
Quality is the degree to which an object or entity (e.g., process, product, or service) satisfies a specified set of attributes or requirements.
Because this shirt does not refer to a "specific" standard which we can read, we have to conclude that this is an "empty" claim.
Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
Koodos to ROOTS for being honest and not hiding the fact that their "CANADA" shirt was actually made in China. However, you should know by now that China's government - or rather their totalitarian regime - does NOT exemplify strong moral principles.
For example, do YOU think it is moral to "to operate mobile “transformation” units, which subject members of “illegal” religious groups to severe psychological and physical torture intended to force them to “transform” by renouncing their religious beliefs." China has a score of 9 out of 100 from Freedom House, an organization which works to defend human rights and promote democratic change, with a focus on political rights and civil liberties.
